Movies:AD's pick Socha Na Tha

Watching movies is one of my favorite pass time. Reading reviews of movies and having interesting chats with friends sharing knowledge about our favorite movie picks has led to some great conversations in the past. In this blog I am penning down few of my favorite movies and some absolutely disappointing ones..... but which I still remember :)

SOCHA NA THA

1) Socha Na Tha (2005): Starring Abhay Deol and Ayesha Takia, this is one of my all time favorites of the recent past. A great concoction of romance, comedy , great music with a fresh youthful touch to it. Not the same old fashioned running behind the trees romance, NO. Thankfully thats done with in Indian cinema. No more of that running around where one could keep on counting the trees in a song sequence :).

Abhay Deol is at his best in his debut movie. Watching the movie, no one could ever guess this was his first one. With a 'guy next door' kind of look, Abhay Deol is one of the finest actors we have today in commercial Indian Cinema. Ayesha Takia has done a good job too and kudos to the writer /director Imtiaz Ali who later on went to make 'Jab We Met'.
